We welcome Shabbat with music, prayer, discussion and, of course, food. Our services are informal, inviting, warm, uplifting and joyous. We have a gentle mix of both Hebrew and English so that everyone feels comfortable. Our community is rich with many different voices and opinions. We alternate using both the Reform and Reconstructionist siddurim. Every person in the community brings a valuable experience to our group. We would love to have you join us.

2 Courses Beginning Tuesday, January 10: A number of people have expressed a desire to learn Hebrew. We are offering a Beginners Hebrew class that will meet every other week at 7:00 and we will follow up with individual tutoring on the alternative weeks, so you don't lose any continuity. We guarantee that it's easier to learn Hebrew than to lose weight! Our goal is to have a B'nai Torah (a group reading Torah) by the end of the year. So if you have never had a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or you would like to do it again, join us for this class.
Immediately following at 8:00 is Moses the reluctant leader; the desert experinece. We will be studying the parasha (Torah portion of the week) as well as other midrashim (stories) that compliment the portion. Learn about the man, the myth, and the adventure of the people he was trying to lead. This course is designed to make our traditional Jewish texts accessible and relevant to you. A world of insight will open up to you, so be prepared to fall in love.
